Family Purity ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our mobile application.

Account: email address, name (optional), password (stored as a secure hash — we never store your actual password). Profile: first names, city and country (for halachic time calculations and mikveh search), religious custom, language preference. Usage data: cycle events and dates (encrypted on our servers), reminder and notification settings, app preferences. Device: push notification token, platform (iOS/Android), app version.

We use your information to: provide and maintain the app's functionality; send reminders and notifications you have configured; perform halachic calculations based on your location and custom; respond to your support requests and feedback; and improve our service.

All personal cycle data is encrypted using XChaCha20-Poly1305 encryption before being stored on our servers. Your encryption key is unique to your account. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we cannot recover your password. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We use Google Cloud infrastructure with industry-standard security.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with: Expo (to deliver push notification reminders to your device); Google Maps/Places (to search for nearby mikvaot); Google (if you sign in with Google); and our email provider (to send verification and password reset emails). We do not share your cycle data with any third party.

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app settings. After account deletion, all data is permanently and irreversibly removed within 30 days.

Family Purity is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.

You have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; delete your account and all data; export your data; and opt out of push notifications at any time. All of these actions can be performed directly from within the app settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Israel, including the Privacy Protection Law 5741-1981 and applicable regulations. Where applicable, we also comply with GDPR requirements for users in the European Economic Area.
